Excerpts from the chat...

Bhuvan Bam's fond memories of Takeshi's Castle

Going down memory lane, Bhuvan shared his good memories of watching Takeshi's Castle. "Just like everyone, after the last school bell would bring, I would come home and have 4 favourite shows lined up. Takeshi's Castle was one of them. It is the most vital memory. I still remember the excitement. Not only me, (people) from the 90s have this nostalgia attached to this show," he recalled.

On lending Titu Mama's voice to the game show

When asked the reason he chose to lend Titu Mama's voice (from BB Ki Vines) for Takeshi's Castle, Bam added, "Pagal aadmi hai ye (He is a mad person). There are a lot of bizarre things happening on the show. There's only one man who can match up to this bizarreness and he is Titu Mama. Out of all the characters that I play in BB Ki Vines, no other character has relatability with the audience the way Titu Mama has."

Bhuvan is excited for the new generation to watch Takeshi's Castle

Before concluding the chat, Bhuvan admitted being a commentator for this game show comes with a lot of pressure. It is because the 80s version was successful.

"Of course, it is a big legacy. A new and reboot version has come after 34 years. I am excited to see how the generation, who hasn't seen (old) Takeshi's Castle, will react to the new version. We know what is going to happen in the show. Tasks do have an upgraded version. It's going to be exciting to know how the new generation will look at it," said Bam while signing off.

Takeshi's Castle is an 8-episode series that will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
