Actor Siddharth recently opened up on his relationship with his first co-star Genelia D'Souza Deskhmukh during the promotions of his latest outing, Takkar. During an interview with Galatta, a special video was played about Genelia, with whom he worked in Boys and Bommarillu.

Reminiscing fond memories from the set, Siddharth said, "Genelia is my kid. I would teach her Tamil, Telugu, economics, accountancy and commerce. Genelia would be in tears most of the time on the sets. Shankar sir (who directed Boys) would give her dialogues that spanned almost two pages and she would sob and say that she didn't know Tamil. During the climax scene, Shankar sir realised that she was extremely tense and asked me to teach her the dialogues. I would teach that at Shankar sir's office in T Nagar."

He added, "During the shoot of 'Dating' song, I would teach her economics as Genelia had exams in Mumbai the next day. We would be dancing for the song with Shakalaka playing in the backdrop at Prarthana theatre. The moment the director said cut, we would rush back to study."

He also called Genelia special because she was her first co-star. "When we did Bommarillu in Telugu, that film emerged as a huge success at the box office. We have churned out two big hits together and my days spent with her were the golden days and close to my heart."

Siddharth added that if he were given a choice to go back in time and change his first co-star, he would not because Genelia was really special to him. Siddharth and Genelia were a hit onscreen pair and the duo was much loved by the audience.
