Looks like the good old days are back for Tamil movie buffs. A slew of Tamil films, which are riding on high expectations, are gearing up for theatrical release in November. The icing on the cake is the state government granting permission to theatres to operate with 100 per cent occupancy. The releases this month begin with the occasion of Deepavali. Though four films were earlier supposed to hit the screens for the festival, two of them backed off in the last minute. 

Annaatthe

Release Date: November 4

Directed by Siva, the movie produced by Sun Pictures, stars Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead. A bevy of stars including Meena, Khushbu, Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and others will be seen playing pivotal roles in the movie which was musc by D Imman.

Enemy

Release Date: November 4

The action flick, starring Vishal and Arya as protagonist and antagonist respectively, is directed by Anand Shankar. Mirnalini Ravi plays the female lead in the movie which has Mamta Mohandas, Prakash Raj and Thambi Ramaiah essaying crucial roles. Thaman and Sam CS have composed songs and background score respectively for the movie. 

Borrder

Release Date: November 19

The movie, which has Arun Vijay essaying the role of an army officer, has been helmed by Arivazhagan. Regina Cassandra and Stefy Patel will be seen essaying female leads in the film which has patriotism as one of its theme. 

Sabhaapathy

Release Date: November 19

Directed by R Srinivasa Rao, the comic caper has Santhanam and Preethi Verma playing lead roles in it. MS Bhaskar, Sayaji Shinde, Vamsi Krishnan and Lollu Saba Swaminathan among others will be seen portraying key characters in the movie. Sam CS has composed music for the project.

Murungakkai Chips

Release Date: November 19

Shanthnu and Athulya Ravi play lead roles in the film which has Oorvasi, Bhagyaraj, Manobala and others playing important characters. The rom-com has been directed by Srijar and produced by Ravindar Chandrasekaran under the banner of Libra Productions.  

Jango

Release Date: November 19

Directed by Mano Karthikeyan, the first-of-its-kind time loop film in Tamil has Satheesh Kumar, Mrinalini Ravi, Anitha Sampath and Hareesh Peradi donning pivotal roles. Bankrolled by producer-turned-director CV Kumar, the movie has music composed by Ghibran. 

Maanaadu

Release Date: November 25

The political thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu has Silambarasan and Kalyani Priyadarshan playing lead roles. SJ Suryah, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran and SA Chandrasekhar will be seen in pivotal roles in the project which has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Kombu Vatcha Singamda

Release Date: November 26

The family drama, directed by SR Prabhakaran, has Sasikumar and Madonna Sebastian essaying lead roles. Dhibu Ninan Thomas has composed music for the film which has Soori, Harish Peradi, Sangili Murugan, Aruldoss and Sendrayan among others essaying crucial roles in it. The film is based on an infamous incident which took place in Madurai a couple of decades ago.  

Rajavamsam

Release Date: November 26

Another film of Sasikumar, the much-delayed KV Kathirvelu directorial, is also hitting the screens on November 26. Starring Nikki Galrani as the female lead, the movie was initially supposed to hit the screens in 2019.
