The team of Tamilrockerz had revealed recently that they would come up with an update on the project soon. They have now unveiled the teaser of the SonyLIV original web series which is set for a release soon. An announcement on its release date is expected next month.
The one-minute teaser begins with a large group of fans of a movie star getting ready for the FDFS screening of their matinee idol's film. But the movie gets uploaded in a website called Tamilrockerz, leaving fans and the movie's producer upset. How an investigative officer (played by Arun Vijay) tries to find out the criminal-minded people behind the website forms the rest of the story.
The series seems to be inspired from a few real incidents. Many Tamil movies were uploaded on the infamous website Tamil Rockers even before their first show happened a couple of years ago. Despite several measures taken by the various film industry associations in Kollywood, the website is still being run by miscreants.
One of the dialogues uttered by a character in the teaser of Tamilrockerz mentions about 25 film unions putting their best foot forward to nab people behind the website, but in vain.
Arivazhagan, with whom Arun Vijay has collaborated for two films, Kuttram 23 and Borrder, has directed the project. The leading production house, AVM Productions, has bankrolled the series which has Vani Bhojan, Ishwarya Menon, Azhagam Perumal, Vinodhini and G Marimuthu among others essaying crucial roles.
Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan has penned the story; he has written the screenplay and dialogues along with Rajesh Manjunath. Stunt Silva has choreographed action scenes for Tamilrockerz which has editing by VJ Sabu Joseph and cinematography by B Rajasekar. Vikas Badisa has composed the background score for the project.
