The 66th annual Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles on Sunday and featured 94 categories, recognizing the outstanding talent in the music industry. This year marks a special win for singing sensation Taylor Swift, as she won her lucky 13th Grammy Award at the magnificent celebration of music and talented artists. One of the major highlights was the big reveal of her upcoming album during the winning speech, which received a massive reaction from the crowd.

Taylor Swift sets a new record

Taylor Swift has yet again broken her own record for 12 wins in multiple categories after her solid win at the 66th Grammy Awards, organized by the Recording Academy. The Fearless singer continued to rack up many accolades, and this year’s win marks her lucky 13th win.

For the uninitiated, Taylor Swift has previously mentioned in several interviews, dating back to 2009, that 13 is her iconic number and has a deep significance in her life. “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday, the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks,” Swift shared with MTV news about the good karma of number 13.

In her winning speech, the singer-songwriter thanked the Recording Academy for the voting and the honor. She also reflected upon the immense love and passion of her fans and lauded them amid the loud cheers. “My brand new album comes out on April 19. It’s called the Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage," Taylor Swift revealed the secret she was keeping since the last 2 years!

Taylor Swift dropped the unexpected announcement for her upcoming album, and the viewers and the live crowd went gaga over the big reveal. Decked up in a white sleeveless gown, Taylor Swift exuded elegance and expressed her gratitude for the 13th win during the acceptance speech.

The 34-year-old artist also took to her X and Instagram accounts for the grand announcement. The Lovestory singer is the first and only woman solo artist to win the Grammy three times for her solo recordings and for Album of the Year. She holds the honor along with iconic musicians Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon.

Meanwhile, the musical ceremony is airing live on CBS and Paramount Plus and is being held in Los Angeles.
