Team Beast releases a new poster of Vijay in rugged look; confirms theatrical release on April 2022

Fans of Vijay were left clueless when Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling a few projects, including Bigil, posted a cryptic tweet which said there is an update at 6 pm. However, this left movie lovers confused as they didn't what to expect from the production house. They have been posting updates on their upcoming release, the Suriya-starrer Etharkkum Thunindhavan, till recently.

However, since it is the last date of the year, many Vijay fans assumed that the update is going to be from Beast as a surprise for fans. As anticipated, it turned out to be a new poster from the film featuring the star in a rugged look, sporting a salt n pepper hairstyle and beard.

The poster also confirms that the action thriller will have a theatrical release on April 2022. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead in the film which has been directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The project marks his third outing after Kolamaavu Kokila (streaming on Zee5) and Doctor (streaming on Netflix).

This is the first poster the makers have released from the movie ever since its first and second look were revealed a few months ago. Manoj Paramahamsa cranks the camera for Beast which has editing by R Nirmal and action choreography by Anbariv.

This is the third continuous time Anirudh has been roped in as the music director for Nelson's film. The director, composer and Vijay among others took to their social media accounts to release the poster of Beast at 6 pm. Anirudh tweeted, "Idhu #BEAST mode. Happy new year folks Thalapathy @actorvijay sir @Nelsondilpkumar directorial (sic)."

Sun Pictures had recently announced that both Vijay and Pooja had wrapped up their portions for the big budget film in which Vijay is said to be playing an army officer.
