Fans of Vijay who have been waiting impatiently for a few weeks for an update from Beast are finally elated when the makers announced the other day that its trailer will be dropping on April 2. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial is releasing in theatres on April 13 and the team has released only two songs from the movie so far.

Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the project, has now surprised movie buffs by releasing a new still from the film. It has seven actors, including Vijay, Pooja Hegde and VTV Ganesh, eagerly looking at something.

The movie's plot is said to be revolving around an army officer who gets into an unexpected rescue operation in a huge mall. However, he faces a series of unanticipated incidents after a few criminals enter into the mall. Billed as an action flick, Beast will have ample dose of comedy as well.

Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for the movie which has stunt choreography by Anbariv and dance choreography helmed by Jani. Manoj Paramahamsa and Nirmal have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the project. Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Aparna Das and Redin Kingsley among others will be seen essaying pivotal roles in the film.

Film buffs hope that the production house will come up with more surprises from the movie in the form of stills and promo videos in the coming days. Vijay fans have been complaining about the lack of proper promotion from Sun Pictures on social media as there are only two more weeks left for the release of Beast.

The movie will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada. The Hindi version alone has been titled Raw. Meanwhile, a popular theatre in Chennai has already started regular booking while a few centres in Tamil Nadu and Kerala are getting ready with exclusive fan shows.
