Team Golmaal wraps up shooting in Mauritius; Jiiva, Payal, Tanya and Shiva pose for a photo

We had reported a few months ago that Golmaal, starring Jiiva, Payal Rajput, Tanya Hope and Shiva in lead roles, had gone on floors in Mauritius. Pon Kumaran has been at the helm of affairs while it was being bankrolled by Vinod Jain of Jaguar Studios.

Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Murali Sharma and Ramesh Khanna among others, too, play important roles in the movie. The makers were eyeing on a summer release in 2022 when the film commenced the shooting.

Now, the team has announced that they have wrapped up its production, though it is not sure when they are planning to release the movie in theatres. The team, including actors and technicians, posed for a photo after the shoot was completed. One of the highlights of the movie is said to be the comeback of Malavika, who was quite popular in Kollywood once, in it in a notable role. 

Billed as a fun-filled comic caper, S Saravanan has handled cinematography for the film while Aruldev has composed music for it. According to the makers, the movie's story unfolds in an island, and never-before-seen visuals will be a prime highlight of Golmaal.

An elated Payal took to Twitter to share the excitement. She tweeted, "It’s a wrap. #Golmaal. All good things comes to an end .. I can’t put in words how much I’m gona miss u all. Had an amazing time shooting for #golmaal Thank you for being a super awesome team (sic)."

In an earlier chat with OTTplay, its creative producer M Naresh Jain had told us that they chose Mauritius to shoot the film as it is comparatively an unexplored place for Tamil cinema. He said, "We felt Mauritius would be an apt location with respect to offering stunning visuals to the audience. Moreover, the island also has various amusement parks and themed restaurants which are required for the story."
