Teaser of Arjun Sarja’s Seetha Payanam to be out on THIS date
Seetha Payanam stars Arjun Sarja’s daughter Aishwarya and Real Star Upendra’s nephew Niranjan Sudhindra in the lead, while Dhruva Sarja has a pivotal cameo

It’s been 7 years since Action King Arjun Sarja was last behind the camera. Back then, it was for the Kannada-Tamil bilingual Prema Baraha/Solli Vidava, in which he launched his daughter Aishwarya as a leading lady. His return to the director’s chair comes this year with Seetha Payanam, which, yet again has Aishwarya in the lead. This time around, she is paired with Real Star Upendra’s nephew Niranjan Sudhindra, who, incidentally, has also not had a release since the 2018 film 2nd Half, although, he has movies like Superstar, Spark and Hunter, among others, credited to him. The teaser of Seetha Payanam will be released on May 28, 2025.
Dhruva Sarja in pivotal cameo in Seetha Payanam
Seetha Payanam is said to be a romantic comedy drama, although the pairing of Niranjan and Aishwarya will not be a typical love relationship. Given that there is an age difference between the lead pair, this will be reflected in the narrative as well. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Kovai Sarala and Sathyaraj, while Arjun also has a role, just like he did in Prema Baraha. Interestingly, Arjun’s nephew Action Prince Dhruva Sarja will also be seen in Seetha Payanam, as a character called Pavan.
Arjun and Dhruva’s last collaboration was the big-budget film Martin, for which the former had penned the story and was then directed by Addhuri fame AP Arjun. The pan-Indian film, though, was a colossal theatrical failure, with audiences across languages panning it, following which the team went on a massive drive to take down all negative reviews, and even initiating copyright strikes against many.
Seetha Payanam, meanwhile, will be released as a trilingual with Kannada, Tamil and Telugu versions. Produced by Arjun under his banner Shree Raam Films, the film has music by Anup Rubens, whose last in Kannada was Seetharama Kalyana , while G Balamurugan is the cinematographer.
Arjun, who began the year with two releases, Vidaamuyarchi and Aghathiyaa , was last seen in Kannada in 2022’s Oppanda.
