Telusu Kada OTT release: Despite disastrous box office run, Siddhu Jonnalagadda film makes most out of OTT deal

Telusu Kada is Siddhu Jonnalagadda's latest romantic drama that is all set to stream on Netflix from November 14, 2025. The new-age romance is landing on Netflix within a month of its theatrical release, and this gives us an idea that the makers have landed a solid deal with Netflix for an early OTT release.

Early OTT release lands Telusu Kada makers in a safe zone

Going into details, the digital rights of Telusu Kada have been sold for a whopping Rs 22 crore, the highest for any Siddhu Jonnalagadda film to date. 

Backed by Sithara Entertainments, the makers locked in Netflix as the OTT partner for a given amount. But as the film ended as a big flop, the deal was changed as the makers opted for an early digital release, as they were getting more money.

Telusu Kada was made on a budget of a whopping Rs 45 crore, and as the film ended as a flop, the makers had no option but to bank on the OTT deal and an early release on Netflix. Telusu Kada was directed by debutante Neeraja Kona and deals with surrogacy in today's times.

The film had great casting, as Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty played the female leads, and the songs composed by Thaman were solid hits ahead of the release. But all this did not help the film at the box office, as Telusu Kada only made Rs 9 crore, landing the makers in losses of up to Rs 17 crore.

A section of the audience did not watch the film in theatres and is eager to see it on OTT. Here are a few reasons you should stream Telusu Kada on OTT. We need to see how the film fares on OTT, and there is no denying the fact that it will get great views.
