Thalapathy 67: Makers unveil the star-studded muhurat event of Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj film, fans go berserk

Looks like fans of Vijay are having a rollicking time as makers of Thalapathy 67 are coming up with back to back updates. After officially announcing the project on Monday, they revealed most of the cast members on Tuesday and informed that there are more surprises in store for them on Wednesday.

The news of Trisha playing the female lead in the movie was revealed earlier today, after which they informed about Sony Music bagging the audio rights. For those who have been awaiting something special, the team has come up with a video on its muhurat event which was held in December.

The affair was quite a secretive deal as makers ensured that no stills from the event got leaked. The one-and-a-half minute video showcases all the guests present at the event, including Lokesh, Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, producer Lalit Kumar, dialogue writer Rathna Kumar and co-producer Jagadish Palanisamy among others.

Directors Karthik Subbaraj and Pushkar-Gayatri were also spotted in the video interacting with the cast and crew members of the project. Fans are going gaga over the video and are expressing astonishment on how the makers managed to keep it under wraps.

The movie's shooting kicked off in January and the team has flown down to Kashmir yesterday. A major schedule has been planned there and it includes Trisha and Priya, too, along with Vijay. The film is said to be hitting the screens in October or November this year.

Netflix has bought the rights of the movie a while ago for a record price. It isn't sure if Seven Screen Studio, the production house, themselves are distributing the film in Tamil Nadu.
