Actor Ajmal Ameer is busy gearing up for the release of his upcoming political drama Vyooham, which is helmed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film is inspired by the life of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Now, rumours suggest that the Ko-fame actor is the latest addition in Vijay’s Thalapathy 68, an upcoming film directed by Venkat Prabhu. 

Is Ajmal part of Thalapathy 68?

It is also speculated that Ajmal will play Vijay’s friend in the film. Although the makers of the film are yet to confirm this, Ajmal recently took to his Instagram handle to share a photograph with Vijay, who is currently shooting for Thalapathy 68 in South Africa. Coinciding with the theatrical release of Vijay's 'Leo' on October 19, Ajmal congratulated him on the success of the film on its release day.

Fans are now speculating that Ajmal Ameer has confirmed being part of Vijay-Venkat Prabhu’s next with this post.

The film will be produced by AGS Entertainment, and the music for the film was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Reports indicate that filming commenced earlier this month, starting with a song sequence that featured Prabhu Deva and Prashanth.

Meanwhile, the release dates for Ajmal’s next political drama, Vyooham, helmed by acclaimed director Ram Gopal Varma, had been announced earlier. The first part, Vyooham, is set to release on November 10, and the sequel, Shapadham, will hit the screens on January 25, 2024.

Vijay’s Leo makes Rs 135 crore worldwide on Day 1, despite mixed reviews

Meanwhile, Vijay’s action thriller film Leo hit theatres on October 19. Although the movie was deemed as the most hyped film of the year, it received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. The Vijay-starrer has reportedly earned nearly Rs 135 crore worldwide on Day 1, breaking the opening day collection records for a Tamil film.
