Even as fans of Vijay are eagerly waiting for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo, news related to the star's next project, Thalapathy 68 (tentative title), is doing the rounds. Venkat Prabhu will be at the helm of affairs while AGS Entertainment is producing the untitled movie.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring music for the film, and the makers are yet to make an announcement on its cast and crew details. Venkat informed a while ago that the updates on the project will be made only after the release of Leo.

However, the reports of Jyotika and Priyanka Mohan playing key roles in the movie stormed the internet a couple of days ago. It was also heard that one more leading star will be part of Thalapathy 68. Jai, who has acted in a few projects of Venkat, is likely to come on board, according to a few sources.

The latest we hear is that Prabhu Deva will be seen essaying a notable character. Vijay and Prabhu were last seen together in a song in Rowdy Rathore; it had the duo shaking legs along with Akshay Kumar. The two of them were seen doing the same in Pokkiri and Villu, too. Interestingly, all these movies were helmed by Prabhu himself.

Fans are now curious to know how the two of them are going to share screen space for a considerable amount of time for the first time. Though there is speculation that the film will be a political drama, sources say the movie will belong to a different genre.

It is likely to go on floors soon and Vijay is expected to take a break once the shooting is completed. He will be focusing on his political plans to make an impact in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections which will happen in 2026.
