The advance ticket booking for Leo is yet to begin in a lion's share of theatres in Tamil Nadu. However, that hasn't deterred the chances of the movie registering the biggest-ever opening for a Tamil film. Its tickets are selling like hotcakes in other territories, already surpassing many records.

The release of the most-anticipated Tamil film of 2023 is just three days away. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and music composer Anirudh shared a post some time ago from their social media with the caption 'locked and loaded', sending fans into a tizzy.
Leo registers record bookings worldwide
It is expected to be the first Tamil movie to garner a 100 crore gross on day one, surpassing the likes of Jailer, Kabali and 2.0. Leo's advance booking in Kerala has already dethroned Jailer's first-day gross in the state. The Vijay-starrer is set to register the highest day-one numbers in Kerala.
The record KGF 2 made more than a year ago will be a thing of the past in a couple of days. According to early estimation, the figure is likely to cross 10 crores, setting a new benchmark in the state.
Huge opening in the offing in overseas markets
Leo is expected to rake in more than 30 crores from overseas markets. The collection from UK, US and Gulf countries will be humongous and trade pundits are looking forward to the numbers. The million-dollar question is whether it can outsmart Jailer's achievement at the worldwide box office.

2.0 and Jailer currently stand at number one and number two positions respectively at the worldwide box office for Tamil cinema. However, the response to Leo's Telugu and Hindi versions look unexciting.
