Earlier today, makers of Prince had announced that the comic caper will release on Deepavali as opposed to their earlier update that the film will hit the screens on August 31. The movie will now have a clash with Karthi's Sardar at the box office.
The team had come up with a hilarious video featuring actors Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj, Maria Ryaboshapka and director Anudeep to announce postponement of the film's release. Premgi Amaren is another actor who will be seen essaying a notable character in the project.
Thaman, who is composing music for the film, released a couple of pictures from his recording studio. Both Siva and Anudeep are seen having a whale of a time in the photos. Fans of Siva expressed happiness on seeing the unexpected photos tweeted by Thaman, while a few others commented that they are looking forward to listening to a few chartbuster songs from the album.
An update on the movie's first single release and teaser is expected to happen soon, say sources. Billed as a bilingual, the project was tentatively titled SK 20 until they announced it as Prince recently.
Though a few films of Siva have been dubbed into Telugu earlier, Prince is likely to be his first movie which will have a simultaneous release in both Tamil and Telugu. Suniel Narang, D Suresh Babu and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao have bankrolled Prince under the banners of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas, Suresh Productions and Shanthi Talkies respectively.
The film will be Siva's second release this year after Don (streaming on Netflix). The actor has Ravikumar's Ayalaan and Rajkumar Periasamy's Maveeran in his kitty. The former is a sci-fi flick while the latter is said to be a period action film.
