About Thamma
Thamma is a story that follows Alok, a historian who is also a modern-day journalist researching Indian vampire folklore. During his research, he accidentally wakes up and is bitten by an ancient, powerful vampire named Yakshasan. Alok is transformed into a vampire, or "Betaal". He then meets Tadaka, a mysterious and grounded vampire, and the two fall in love.
The main conflict arises from their forbidden love, as it pits them against the villainous vampire king, Yakshasan, who seeks revenge. The story unfolds across two timelines: modern India and the ancient Vijayanagar kingdom, where their past lives and origins lie. To save his love and stop the Yakshasan's dark reign, Alok aims to embrace his new, supernatural identity and fight his powerful enemy.
