Thammudu: Saurabh Sachdeva was set to debut with Nithiin’s film, but fate had other plans.

Thammudu is Nithiin's new film that is all set to hit the screens on July 4, 2025. Produced by Dil Raju, the action drama features Pushpa 2 and Animal fame Saurabh Sachdeva as the main villain. Not many know that Thammudu is Saurabh's debut film and not Pushpa 2. 

Saurabh Sachdeva to play villain in Thammudu

Saurabh signed the film two years ago. But due to the delay in Thammudu's shoot, Pushpa 2 came out first. This only helped him as Pushpa 2 gave Saurabh a solid base in Telugu. 

Venu Sriram has directed Thammudu, which is a brother-sister story, and Saurabh plays a businessman named Agarwal who dominates a small town in Andhra. Saurabh is a superb talent, and many actors in Hindi cinema have trained under him. He is yet another Hindi actor from the current lot who is all set to test Telugu waters with Thammudu.

Dil Raju is the producer of the film, and a special aspect is that Kantara fame Saptami Gowda is also being introduced with this film. Yesteryear actress Laya will be seen as Nithiin's sister in the film, which has been stuck in production for the last two years. Not many had hopes for this film as it was delayed time and again.

But the trailer changed things, as it was cut superbly and showcased Nithiin in a completely new avatar. Ajaneesh Loknath has composed music for this film, which also has Varsha Bollama in a key role. 

Saurabh Sachdeva shines in Pushpa 2

In Pushpa 2, Saurabh had a tiny role but created an impact right away. But in Thammudu, he has a full-fledged role and is expected to create a solid impact with his performance.

Venu Sriram last made Vakeel Saab with Pawan Kalyan, and that film was a smash hit. So, Nithiin has pinned all hopes on him to make a comeback. Let’s see if that happens or not.
