South digital space is set for an exciting ride in March 2025 as a wide variety of films, across Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages, is set to make their OTT premiere on various platforms. While Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel is the Telugu biggie in digital space, Asif Ali-starrer Rekhachithram is the Malayalam hit making its much-awaited OTT release this week. On the other hand, Tamil has a mixed baggage of star vehicle Vidaamuyarchi and Manikandan’s Kudumbasthan making their entry in the OTT world. Rekhachithram follows cop Vivek as he pursues a 40-year-old case about the disappearance of a woman. This Malayalam thriller brilliantly taps into the alternative history genre to ensure a riveting movie that definitely should be on your watchlist this weekend.

Ajith Kumar headlines the action drama film Vidaamuyarchi, which also features Trisha. Magizh Thirumeni has helmed this Tamil film, which is adapted from Breakdown, a Hollywood movie. Vidaamuyarchi follows a couple on a road trip, but the wife goes missing after certain events. Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra are also part of this film, which did not create as much of an impression in theatres as Thala fans would have liked.

Another Tamil film, but Manikandan’s movie trains its lens on a middle-class family from Coimbatore. Kudumbasthan follows the events after the sole breadwinner of the family loses his job. Rajeshwar Kalisamy directed this film, which also features Guru Somasundaram, R. Sundarrajan, and Kudassanad Kanakam. Watch out for the hit Tamil family drama this weekend.

Cab driver Joekuttan decides to do the right thing and heads to the police station after witnessing a cop getting murdered. But things take a dramatic turn and even a loved one's life is in threat. Njan Kandatha Sare is probably the least known film on this list, but might hold a trick up its sleeve.
