Thangalaan actress Malavika Mohanan bags a crucial role in Pawan Kalyan's film Ustaad Bhagat Singh?

Malavika Mohanan, who is currently busy with Pa Ranjith's Vikram-starrer Thangalaan, has pinned high hopes on the movie which is set against the backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields. The team, we hear, has completed shooting for a lion's share of the portions and the movie is expected to be released this year.     

The actress, who was last seen in Mollywood film Christy, is gearing up for her Tollywood project. Though an official announcement on the same is yet to be made, there are reports of her being roped in to play the female lead in Prabhas' forthcoming project which has Maruthi at its helm.

Now, amid speculations that she is playing a crucial part in Pawan Kalyan's much-awaited project Ustaad Bhagat Singh which has Harish Shankar at the helm, she has cleared the air by clarifying that it is a baseless rumour. She has taken to her Twitter page to inform the same to her fans.

The Master actress also added that she is all excited for her Tollywood debut though, with a different film. Her post read, "Have so much admiration for Pawan Kalyan sir, but have to clarify I’m not a part of this project :) I’m currently working on a amazing telugu film(as the main lead not the second which will be my debut in telugu cinema, an industry I’m excited to dive into (sic)."

Malavika, who made her acting debut a decade ago with the Malayalam movie Pattam Pole opposite Dulquer Salmaan, made inroads into Sandalwood and Kollywood with Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi and Petta in 2016 and 2019 respectively.

She had shared a still from the location of Thangalaan recently which was clicked by her co-star Vikram. Her fans are eager to know the character she will be enacting in the movie.
