Thangalaan: BTS footage of Chiyaan Vikram's make-up session from Pa Ranjith's film goes viral

Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan has been creating curiousity ever since the project was announced. Vikram plays the lead in the movie bankrolled by KE Gnanavel's Studio Green. A few stills of the actor officially unveiled by makers at regular intervals stormed the internet, and left his fans thrilled.

Malavika Mohanan and Parvathy Thiruvothu, who play crucial characters in the movie, too, had revealed some of the pics from the location. Billed as a period flick, it is known that the project touches upon the lives of a few people who worked in the Kolar Gold Fields in the 18th century.  

A short video from Vikram's make-up session is now doing the rounds on social media. The actor stunned everyone with his never-before-seen appearance in one of the promo videos of the film which was released some time ago. He is seen sporting the same look in the BTS video.

The actor is seen smiling towards the camera even as he is seen in an unrecognizable look, sending fans into a tizzy. The much-awaited project is expected to be released this year. This is likely to be his third release in 2023 if the long-delayed Dhruva Natchathiram makes it to theatres soon.

One of the highlights of Thangalaan is expected to be its music by GV Prakash. Stunner Sam is handling action choreography for the project which has editing by Selva RK and cinematography by Kishore. Film buffs are eagerly awaiting the teaser of the movie to be revealed.

It will be Ranjith's much-hyped theatrical release after a hiatus of five years. His previous outing Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, though received appreciation from critics, didn't attract a crowd in theatres. Rajinikanth-starrer Kaala was his last movie which garnered huge hype before its release. The much-awaited Sarpatta Parambarai was a direct-to-OTT release.
