The Ba***ds of Bollywood is the debut directorial series of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan. In the series, Lakshay, Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol, and many other actors will be seen making cameos, including SRK, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, SS Rajamouli, and more. Ahead of the release, Bobby shared why he said yes to the series, directed by Aryan. 

Bobby Deol on saying yes to The Ba***ds of Bollywood

In an interview with Zoom, Bobby Deol recalled agreeing to The Ba***ds of Bollywood without thinking too much. “When I got a call from Red Chillies that they’re producing a show, would you like to do it, it’s being directed by Aryan—I didn’t think twice. I said I’m doing it. Because we know how it is for a parent. Anybody close to you would ask you to help their child, anybody would do it,” he shared.

The actor explained that the series uses humour and exaggeration to explore the myths surrounding Bollywood. “A script is written with what happens around you, what you see in society. It has to be influenced by that. But this show is about all the myths you have about the industry. And they exaggerated and made it into a funny version so that people could connect and laugh with it,” he said.

Bobby Deol praises Aryan Khan

Speaking to India Today, Bobby Deol revealed that he was impressed with Aryan’s maturity. His focus, his conviction, his obsession, and his passion were impeccable. According to Bobby, Khan doesn't live in a dream world; he lives in the real world, and that's why he's so mature as a director.
