The Crown season 5 first look: Meet Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana

The fans of The Crown has something more to be excited about in the upcoming seasons. The makers have dropped the first look of Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki who have taken forward the roles of Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the fifth and the sixth seasons of the Netflix original series. In the previous season, the roles were played by Josh O'Connor and Emma Corrin who won several accolades for their incredible performance.

In the new stills, Dominic is seen in a pensive look while donning a suited attire and salt-and-pepper hairdo. While on the other hand, Elizabeth looks intense as she is clicked while lying on a couch and lost in her thoughts. The official Instagram page of Netflix shared the photos and wrote, "Our new Prince Charles (Dominic West) and Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki)."

Earlier, the streaming platform dropped the first look of Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II which left an impressive mark on many.

Meanwhile, Dominic is known for his roles in movies namely Chicago, Colette, 300, Hannibal Rising to name a few and shows such as The Wire, The Hour, Appropriate Adult, Burton & Taylor, The Affair, Les Misérables among many others.

On the other hand, Elizabeth featured in many films like The Great Gatsby, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Everest, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Tenet and more. She also played an important role in The Night Manager.

The filming of The Crown is currently underway and the streaming date of the fifth season is yet to be announced. As per reports, the upcoming season will showcase how Elizabeth's children are facing separations from their respective partners which also include Prince Charles and Princess Diana. 

Moreover, Charles and Camilla's affair becoming public is also a part of the plot. Although, the report in Variety revealed that the makers haven't confirmed if Princess Diana's death will be included in the fifth season or the sixth and the final season.
