Tollywood fans had good expectations when Praveen Sattaru announced a project with Nagarjuna. The makers unveiling its first look poster along with its title The Ghost had sent the star's fans into a tizzy last year. The movie's theatrical release date was announced as October 5, and the hype escalated, owing to its clash with Chiranjeevi's Godfather.
However, the movie opened to negative response and ended up as a flop at the box office. Though its making, Nagarjuna's screen presence and a few sequences received appreciation, the film couldn't connect to the audience emotionally.
The Ghost is now set for its OTT premiere. The slick action thriller is dropping on Netflix on November 2, before a month of its theatrical release. The film revolves around a former agent who takes up a mission to save his country from dreaded terrorists.
But little did he know that his family was in danger. How he pulls off the dangerous mission in spite of various challenges that are likely to put an end to his professional and personal life forms the rest of the story. The movie was dubbed into Tamil under the title Ratchan, but the Kollywood version, too, sank without a trace.
Gul Panag, Sonal Chauhan and Anikha Surendran essay pivotal roles in the project which has been bankrolled by Suniel Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar. Dinesh Subbarayan and Kaecha have composed action scenes in the movie which received mixed reactions from the audience.
Mukesh G's visuals and background score by Bharatt-Saurabh and Mark K Robin received a thumbs up from fans. The Ghost was Nagarjuna's third release this year after Bangarraju and Brahmastra.
