The Russo brothers’ next release comes in the form of action thriller, The Gray Man. With the directorial prowess of the Russos and a stellar cast to boot, the upcoming film is definitely one of the most highly anticipated Hollywood films of the year. The first look images from the Netflix film were unveiled by the makers recently.
The images, released by Netflix, feature Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and Bridgerton star, Rege-Jean Page. The film is slated to premiere on Netflix on July 22, 2022.

Evans had also posted the first look image of his character named Lloyd Hansen on his official Instagram handle. The post was captioned “Lloyd Hansen.(The Russo brothers knocked this one out of the park!) @therussobrothers @netflix #thegrayman”.
The upcoming film revolves around the story of seasoned CIA Agent Court Gentry (Gosling) who is forced to be on the run after he becomes the subject of a massive manhunt. The film is based on the 2009 novel of the same name, written by Mark Greaney. In addition to Gosling, Evans, Armas and Page, the film also features Dhanush, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Alfre Woodard, Callan Mulvey and Michael Gandolfini in pivotal roles.
Joe and Anthony Russo are well-known for helming the MCU films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). The Russoes also served as producers on The Gray Man. Joe Russo penned the film’s screenplay along with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The directors’ next release after The Gray Man will be the sequel to Extraction. Starring Chris Hemsworth, the film will also release on Netflix.
