The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 debuted recently on Netflix and on June 28, 2025, in its second episode, the cast of the forthcoming film Metro...In Dino was introduced. The show featured the cast, which included Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, along with director Anurag Basu. It was a hilarious and unexpected roast session that had everyone in fits of laughter.
Once the actors got into Kapil Sharma's world-famous sofa, the light-hearted banter quickly transformed into a biting and hilarious critique of Aditya Roy Kapur's movie career. Kapil remarked, "Toh doston, aapko mazedaar cheez batata hoon. Aap sabne notice toh kiya hoga. Fitoor mein Aditya ne Katrina ke saath kaam kiya, unki shaadi ho gayi. Sadak 2 mein inhone Alia ke saath kaam kiya, Alia ki shaadi ho gayi. The Night Manager mein inhone Sobhita ke saath kaam kiya, uski shaadi ho gayi. Toh Sara... iske baad?" (So friends, let me tell you something interesting. You all must have noticed. Aditya worked with Katrina in Fitoor—she got married. Then he worked with Alia in Sadak 2—she got married. In The Night Manager, he worked with Sobhita – she got married. So, Sara... what about after this?)
Sara Ali Khan responded swiftly, "Maine Ranveer ke saath kaam kiya uski shaadi ho gayi. Varun ke saath kaam kiya, uski shaadi ho gayi, Vikrant ke saath kaam kiya, uski shaadi ho gayi, Vicky ke saath kaam kiya, uski shaadi ho gayi, toh actually bachna toh Adi ko chahiye!” (I worked with Ranveer—he got married. With Varun—he got married. Vikrant—got married. Vicky also got married. So actually, Adi is the one who should be careful!)," stole the show just as the audience was expecting Aditya to grin sheepishly.
The flawless "UNO reverse card" was Kapil's excuse as he finally conceded, his jaw dropping momentarily.
Cast members' genuine friendships were on display in this episode, as well as some interesting facts about the making of Metro...In Dino and Anurag Basu's views on reuniting disparate narratives in a single film.
The Great Indian Kapil Show is still one of the most enjoyable weekend shows on Netflix India thanks to its sharp comedy, unplanned spontaneity, and the charisma of having such a stellar cast together.
