The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show is set to stream this Saturday, and it promises to be an entertaining hour filled with laughter, truth bombs, and behind-the-scenes chaos. Guests including Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma, Jitendra Kumar, and Pratik Gandhi will be gracing the show with their presence.

Rather than being a comedy setup, Kapil Sharma's sofa is serving as the platform for some honest, genuine stories this week. The guests all go deep into their pasts, revealing how twisted and unexpected their paths to stardom have been.

Jitendra Kumar and Pratik Gandhi on life after engineering

Jitendra has admitted that he actually attended IIT before becoming an actor, having played the adored Jeetu Bhaiya on Kota Factory. Pratik chimed in with a remark that captures the perplexity of many people's careers: "Engineering ke baad aapko sach mein pata chalta hai ki aapko life mein kya karna hai." (After engineering, that’s when you truly realise what you want to do in life.)

FTII batchmates Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma reflect on their shared struggles

Jaideep and Vijay knew their calling from the beginning, in contrast to Jitendra and Pratik, who fell into acting as a side project from their engineering careers. "Maine ek dost ko bola mera selection ho gaya mere paas paise nahin hai zyada, usne paise dediye fees ke, maine kaha ab permission toh nahin milegi ghar se, bhaagte hai, toh main ghar se bhaag gaya!" (I told a friend I had been selected but didn’t have money. He gave me the money for fees. I said I won’t get permission from home, so let’s run away—and I ran away from home!) was the heartfelt anecdote that Vijay narrated from his early days.

Classmates Jaideep and Vijay of FTII discussed their common goal of making it big in Bollywood. It feels like something out of Om Shanti Om—that the universe was conspiring in their favour—given how popular they are right now, particularly on OTT.

Diamond Raja's audition

Sunil Grover, portraying his eccentric Diamond Raja persona, adds a comedy touch to the fame game by releasing an "audition anthem" that parodies Bollywood item numbers and offers advice on how to strike a "left, right and open-to-options" position for the Oscars.

With a flair that showcases his talent beyond intense performances, Jaideep joins the stage alongside Sona and Mona (Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek), Kapil's in-house airport security team. Kapil makes fun of Jaideep, saying that his acting is "qatal" (killer) but his motions are even more so.

Jackson wang's surprise

K-pop sensation Jackson Wang unexpectedly strolls onto the scene, making the episode even more exciting. The Great Indian Kapil Show successfully marries K-pop with Indian comedy in an absolutely insane crossover.

This Saturday's show is shaping up to be one of the season's most memorable, with engineering regrets, acting hopes, runaway stories, and an unexpected international twist. The mayhem will be available exclusively on Netflix on July 12, 2025.
