The Great Shamsuddin Family is an upcoming Hindi family drama. The trailer shows Kritika Kamra dealing with a dilemma where she needs to follow his 'dream job deadline' and also her family duties at the same time. It's an Indian family, so chaos is obviously there.

Kritika Kamra plays Bani Ahmed. She is a writer struggling against career-imposed 12-hour deadlines when her home becomes 'ground zero' due to a family crisis. Set in Delhi, the narrative follows the arrival of Bani's mothers, aunts, cousins, and ex-lovers at her apartment, each bringing their own emergencies, leading to the delay of her deadline. Amid family duties, complexities, and conflicts, Bani feels confused about choosing between an impending international career opportunity and staying with her family.

Indian filmmaker Anusha Rizvi, known for directing Peepli Live, has helmed The Great Shamsuddin Family. Apart from Kritika Kamra, the film also features Purab Kohli, Farida Jalal, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Juhi Babbar, Sheeba Chaddha, Dolly Ahluwalia, Natasha Rastogi and Nishank Verma.

Kamra said that her character Bani is the eldest daughter of a middle-income family who prioritises the needs of others over her own ambitions. “She’s quietly dependable, endlessly responsible, and always putting herself last, even when all she wants is a single day to focus on her own future,” the actress said.
