The Greatest Of All Time team revealed the new poster of the film, which features leading man Thalapathy Vijay and his GOAT squad, on the special occasion of Pongal.

The Greatest Of All Time, the highly anticipated Thalapathy Vijay-starrer, has already created quite a stir on social media with its massive star cast and promising posters. The movie, which is helmed by Venkat Prabhu, features leading man Vijay in a double role. The GOAT team surprised the cine-goers on the special occasion of Pongal 2024, by releasing the much-awaited new poster of the sci-fi action film.

The Pongal special poster of the highly anticipated Venkat Prabhu directorial finally introduced The GOAT squad, alias the three other pivotal characters in the film. In the promising poster, leading man Thalapathy Vijay is seen posing with senior actor Prashanth, actor-director Prabhu Deva, and actor Ajmal Ameer, who play the role of his squad members and closest friends. Their uniforms also suggest that all the four of them are playing special commandos in The Greatest Of All Time.
“Meet #TheGOATsquad,” wrote director Venkat Prabhu, who dropped the special poster on his official social media handles. “Meet the #GOATsquad... They are all ready to set the box office on fire. One action entertainer loading... #TheGreatestOfAllTime,” reads the Twitter poster of producer Archana Kalpathi. However, the makers have notably, not revealed the character names or any other details of Thalapathy Vijay or his squad members, yet.
Even though the promising poster is now winning the internet, it is safe to assume that one of the squad members will eventually turn out to be a mole or the ultimate villain of the film. If the makers decided to follow the age-old cliches of the Indian film industry, either Prashanth or Ajmal Ameer’s characters (or both of them) might eventually turn against the leading man Vijay. Prabhu Deva, on the other hand, is expected to provide both undying loyalty and comic relief.
The GOAT release plans
As reported earlier, the makers of The Greatest Of All Time are planning to have a June 2024 release for the film, coinciding with leading man Vijay’s 50th birthday celebrations. However, the final decision on the same will be made only after director Venkat Prabhu and his team wrap up the pending shooting schedules of the film. More updates on the same are expected to be out very soon.
