The Kerala Story on OTT: Here's what we know about the OTT release of Adah Sharma's film

When the trailer of the Adah Sharma starrer ‘The Kerala Story’ got released, it immediately ran into a controversy of sorts regarding the ‘figures’ quoted in the film’s trailer. But, as days passed by, the box-office figures of the film seemed to not stop or slow down even a bit. The film, which is now having a dream run at the box-office, has now entered the magical Rs. 100 crore club.

Besides the film’s dream run at the box-office and the film’s lead heroine Adah Sharma’s stunning performance in the film, there is one more aspect of the film which has kept everyone in utter suspense. We are indeed talking about the film’s streaming on the OTT platform. The last few days, there was a major buzz which stated that the film ‘The Kerala Story’ has been sold to the OTT platform Zee 5. There was no official announcement or confirmation regarding this. Neither the film’s producer Vipul Shah nor anyone from Zee 5 confirmed or spoke about any such thing. But many of the media reports stated that the film has been sold to the OTT platform Zee 5.

When we spoke to Adah Sharma, who gave an insightful interview about ‘The Kerala Story’, we asked her about the truth behind the film being sold to Zee 5. To this, Adah said, “No, it's actually not sold yet to any of the OTT platforms. There was no selling that happened of the film to any OTT platform, as much as I know of it”.

As for the film, besides Adah Sharma, it also stars Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani in the lead roles. Besides them, the film also stars Devadarshini, Vijay Krishna, Pranay Pachauri and Pranav Misshra in important roles. The film has been directed by Sudipto Sen.
