The Paradise is Nani’s latest film, and its teaser has taken everyone by surprise. Not many were prepared for the intense and unconventional content that Nani unveiled, and in no time, the teaser has become a major talking point. The film’s backdrop, Nani’s striking look, and the bold storytelling have caught everyone's attention. However, a few aspects have also stirred a controversy.

The Paradise teaser sparks debate

One of the biggest talking points is the use of curse words in the promo. The voiceover in the teaser states that The Paradise is the story of a bast**d, and this dialogue, spoken in pure Telugu, has shocked many. This has sparked a debate about the increasing use of explicit language in mainstream cinema, especially in films that cater to a broad audience, including youth and families.

However, the makers have defended their creative choice, explaining that the film revolves around themes of oppression and resilience. Director Srikanth Odela has clarified that the true meaning of the dialogue will only be understood once audiences watch the film.

Another concern is the film’s setting, which appears vague to some viewers. A section of the audience feels that the teaser does not establish the world of The Paradise, making it difficult to grasp the director’s vision. The film is set in the erstwhile Secunderabad and is a period drama. Srikanth Odela has blended real-life elements with an imaginative narrative, which has left some viewers puzzled.

Additionally, Nani’s tattoo in the film, which reads son of a b**h* in Telugu, has drawn criticism. Many argue that such explicit words are being unnecessarily normalized in films. Despite the controversy, Nani’s transformation in The Paradise is remarkable. He sports a chiseled physique and does not utter a single dialogue in the teaser, which has further intrigued audiences. Known for his powerful dialogue delivery, Nani’s silence in the promo has become a major talking point.

The film also features Sonali Kulkarni in a key role as Nani’s mother. At its core, The Paradise explores the deep bond between a mother and son and how far a son will go to seek justice for his mother’s struggles. If this is a mother-son story, Sonali should have been showcased in the promo to give the audience a better idea.

While the teaser suggests a high-octane action film, some wonder if the story itself will be strong enough to support the intense visuals. In such films, a gripping screenplay is crucial, and only time will tell how well Srikanth Odela has handled this aspect.
