South Korean actor Teo Yoo, who made quite an impact on audiences with K-dramas like – Vertigo, Chocolate, Arthdal Chronicles, Money Game, Love to Hate You, made his Hollywood feature debut with Past Lives this year. The romantic-drama made its World Premiere at the 28th Busan International Film Festival. Past Lives won Audience Award at the 10th edition of Sundance Film Festival 2023.

Past Lives story

Ripped apart by oceans and years, childhood soulmates Nora (Greta Lee) and Hae Sung (Teo Yoo) find themselves on a collision course of destiny when circumstances throw them together for a fleeting week. Love, choices, and the weight of a life lived apart hang in the balance as they confront the echoes of the past and the yearning for what could have been.

Including various other accolades, Past Lives has also received five nominations for 81st Golden Globe Awards.

Teo Yoo gets roped in for The Recruit Season 2

However, after such huge success in Hollywood, Teo Yoo has been roped in for another Hollywood venture – The Recruit Season 2. Although the streaming giant did not reveal the name, he will be playing a highly skilled Korean NIS agent in the Netflix series.
