Karan Johar's The Traitors took off on June 15, and the drama has unfolded! The first catfight of the reality show is here, and it is between Uorfi Javed and The Rebel Kid aka Apoorva Mukhija. Know everything that happened...
Uorfi Javed and The Rebel Kid aka Apoorva Mukhija had entered the traitors and sworn a 'behen code' (sister code). Things were smooth for the first two episodes, but it went down the rollercoaster since. Currently, the two share a bitter relationship, on and off screen.
Apoorva Mukhija broke down on the sets and concerned Uorfi Javed asked what happened. The Rebel Kid snapped at her, which led to a major showdown between the two. On June 15, Apoorva posted a video in which she shared her side of the story. She spoke of how she missed her mother and was promised three phone calls but wasn't allowed to use them once on the show. This led to her emotional breakdown. While Apoorva let Jannat Zubair in on why she was crying, she did not want Uorfi finding out the reason and thus, when the latter confronted her, Apoorva said, "Not everything is about you, Uorfi."
Once the cameras went off, Apoorva recalled Uorfi using the B word for The Rebel Kid while calling her. When Apoorva asked Uorfi to calm down, she got further triggered and said, "Tumhe pata hai tum kisse baat kar rahi ho? Main tumhare level pe hoon kya? Tumhari aukaat nahi hai mujhse baat karne ki." Apoorva, still crying, felt insulted and exactly as Uorfi described her - an imposter who didn't belong on the show.
Uorfi Javed's response to the video is that it was all scripted and that the duo spoke after the incident. Taking to her Instagram stories, Uorfi said that she is shivering at the thought of how The Rebel Kid is making her the villain in the story. While acceptng what happened, Uorfi also confessed that she felt insecure because she was disrespected, and that let out the reaction.
Inspired from the Hollywood reality show, The Traitors is introduced and hosted by Karan Johar in India. Various celebrities are made to sit in a room, with them trying to figure out who is the traitor among them. The show is currently streaming on Prime Video, with no end date in sight, for now.
