Them: The Scare follows LAPD homicide detective Dawn Reeve in 1991, who is assigned to a new case. But the gruesome murder of a foster home mother can leave even the most hardened detectives heaving by a trash can. While Dawn navigates the tumultuous and energetic era of Los Angeles, with the city poised on a blade’s edge, something ominous and sinister begins preying upon herself and her family.
Will Dawn be able to track down the killer in time or will the next set of gory murders be at her own place? It is expected that the second season will continue the pattern of merging psychological horrors associated with bigotry and racism with supernatural predators that highlight the historically accurate hate crimes of the mortals. Deborah Ayorinde returns this season as a completely new character.
Them: The Scare features Deborah Ayorinde as Dawn, the protagonist, Pam Grier as Athena, Luke James as Edmund Gaines, Joshua J. Williams as Kelvin Reeve, Jeremy Bobb as Detective Ronald McKinney, Wayne Knight as Lieutenant Schiff, Carlito Olivero as Joaquin Diaz, Charles Brice as Reggie Marks, and Iman Shumpert as Corey in the new season.
