Superstar Mohanlal thanked the audience for the success of his latest film, Neru, during a success celebration meet organised in Kochi. He emphasised that people will always support and enjoy good movies. "This is a small film, and we are happy to hear the good responses from the viewers," he remarked
When asked if there would be a sequel to Neru, he said that there might be if the makers received a strong case once more. “But at this point, we are unable to comment,” he added.
The audience has been highly appreciative of the actor's performance in this courtroom drama. The film is being described as his impressive comeback, following a few box office failures.
Mohanlal stated that an actor cannot act with a superstar tag above his head. “What counts is the role assigned to them and how well they carry it out. Our director ultimately gets to judge how we performed while they are sitting behind the camera,” he added.
During the film's pre-release promotion, the actor mentioned that his character, Vijayamohan, is a clever but vulnerable lawyer due to his circumstances.
Actors, including Jagadish, had also praised Mohanlal at the success meet for his convincing portrayal of Vijayamohan. "Everything we said about Neru during the movie's promotional activities has been shown to be accurate. Mohanlal has mesmerised the audience with his subtle mannerisms and profound performance," he said.
The Falimy actor continued by saying that Mohanlal's character in this movie is difficult to portray because Vijayamohan lacks confidence at first but eventually grows as a person in court.
