Thor: Love and Thunder trailer 2: Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman join hands to take down Christian Bale’s Gorr

Marvel fans rejoice, as Thor: Love and Thunder has dropped a brand new trailer today, which offers a bigger peek into the extraordinary ride in store. The new trailer finally reveals a more comprehensive picture of the highly awaited avatars of Natalie Portman as well as Christian Bale.

The trailer opens with Korg recounting the tale of the God of thunder, or ‘space viking’ Thor. After saving the planet and getting back into shape, Thor is met with a shocking surprise when he tries to reclaim his title. He is met with his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who herself seems to exude godly abilities similar to his. After an awkward reunion, the two set off to take down one of their biggest threats yet, Gorr the God Butcher. The Valkyrie also makes an appearance in the trailer, along with Russell Crowe as Zeus.

Chris Hemsworth,Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Taika Waititi reprise their roles as Thor, Jane, Valkyrie and Korg respectively. Crowe and Christian Bale join the franchise as Zeus and Gorr. The film also features Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel, among others, in pivotal roles.

Waititi, who had helmed Thor: Ragnarok (2017), returns to direct the upcoming MCU film. He has also penned the film’s script along with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in theatres on July 8, 2022.
