If there is one thing that the Thug Life trailer had courted much debate on social media, it is the portion with Trisha, whose character seems to be romantically linked with Kamal Haasan’s Rangaraaya Sakthivel Nayakar. When audience thought that the film will feature Trisha and Silambarasan as pair, the twist came in form of Trisha being seemingly paired with Kamal Haasan. In a recent interview to promote Thug Life, Trisha opened up about this and if you want to know what else she said, keeping reading.

Actor Trisha Krishnan, who was recently seen in Malayalam film Identity, will be reuniting with Ponniyin Selvan director Mani Ratnam once again for Thug Life. The film is headlined by Kamal Haasan and also features Simbu in a prominent role. While many thought that Trisha will be reuniting with her Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa co-star Simbu in the upcoming film, the trailer had other plans to reveal, with a scene showing Kamal Haasan and Trisha. This has sparked debate on who is Trisha paired with.
“I read some comments, and it painted me as a drohi (traitor), but like you said that people were shocked of the trailer, you should watch the film and then we can talk. There will be more shocks in it. You have watched only two minutes from two hours, so that is your assumption. Let it be a question until June 5,” the Brinda actor said in a latest interview.

Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film, which will release in theatres on June 5. Kamal Haasan had announced that Thug Life will begin streaming on the platform only after eight weeks of theatrical run. The cast of Thug Life also includes Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Nasser, and others. Thug Life is jointly produced by the Roja filmmaker and Kamal Haasan.
