Karthi-starrer Viruman has been going great guns at the box office. The Muthaiya directorial produced by Suriya was released last Friday and has registered the highest opening for Karthi despite critics panning the movie. The trade is looking eagerly at the numbers the film will collect in its long run.

Now, a video from the movie's promotional activities has been doing the rounds on social media. Karthi was part of an entertaining show where one of its hosts asked him to guess a movie's name after providing a few clues.

Karthi effortlessly guessed the film and pointed at a still from Thullatha Manamum Thullum which appeared on the screen among the clues provided to him. He went on to say that the 1999 released blockbuster is his favourite Vijay movie amid crowd cheering and whistling.

The host immediately asked him if he ever got a chance to convey the same to Vijay, to which he replied, "No. I just love to enjoy him and the movie from a distance as one of his fans." He also went gaga over the ever popular songs in the film. He added, "I really like the songs in the film, they are so beautiful."

Fans of Vijay and Karthi have been sharing the video on Twitter and their mutual admirers are elated to the core. Meanwhile, team Viruman organized a success meet the other day in Chennai which was attended by the film's cast and crew.

The movie marked the acting debut of Aditi Shankar. Yuvan Shankar Raja's background score and performances of a few actors have been receiving rave reviews from the audience, though many are pointing out the lack of novelty in the screenplay.
