Ajith-starrer Thunivu, which was dropped on Netflix a week ago, continues to impress movie lovers across the world. The H Vinoth directorial has created some rare records and the OTT giant has now come up with an official announcement. The film's Hindi version stands at numero uno position in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Maldives. It has also found a place in the top 10 list in Mauritius and UAE.
The Tamil version stands at second position in India, but maintains numero uno position in Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia. The Tamil version has also found place in the top 10 list in countries like Mauritius, Nigeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Maldives, Oman, Qatar and UAE.
This feat is apart from the Tamil version standing at third position among non-English movies across the globe. Its Telugu version, titled Tegimpu, stands at fourth position among non-English movies across the globe.
Fans of Ajith are elated that the movie, which went on to become a blockbuster during its theatrical release, is attracting audiences after digital release as well. The film produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios is said to have collected around 200 crores at the box office.
The screen presence of Ajith, performances of Manju Warrier and Samuthirakani, apart from Ghibran's music and Supreme Sundar's action choreography are considered as the positive aspects of the project which brought together Ajith, Boney and Vinoth for the third time.
Nirav Shah's cinematography and Vijay Velukutty's editing are other aspects which garnered praise from cinephiles. The comparatively unengaging second half of the film received criticism from critics and film lovers.
