Thunivu vs Varisu: Dil Raju is at it again, cites reasons supporting his claim that Vijay is bigger than Ajith

Tollywood producer Dil Raju's comparison between Ajith and Vijay, and claims of the latter being a bigger star in the current scenario had created a storm on social media recently. Fan wars between the two stars erupted on Twitter like never before, which led to a few exhibitors and distributors in Tamil Nadu, too, opening up about the controversy.

Raju made the comparison ahead of the release of Ajith's Thunivu and Vijay's Varisu; both the films are set to have a clash on January 12, and the producer has bankrolled the latter.

Varisu will be released on the same day in Telugu, too, as Vaarasudu. The Kollywood and Tollywood trade are looking forward to the numbers the Vijay-starrer is going to bring to the table. Even as fans of the two stars continue to fight on social media, Raju has dropped another bomb.

He has come up with an observation to validate his claim that Vijay is a bigger star than Ajith. According to him, the stardom of a hero is judged by the distributor share of his last five movies. He added that five previous films of Vijay have had a share of 60 crores, which makes him the numero uno star of Kollywood.

Needless to say, this has further escalated the Twitter fan wars. This time, fans of Rajinikanth, too, have criticized Raju heavily. They wonder how someone who has been in the industry for a long time can deny the box office records Superstar has set over a period of almost four decades.

The advance booking for Thunivu and Varisu has begun in a few overseas locations, including the USA. Vijay's Varisu is currently leading in most of the locations.
