This week's list of releases in India across OTT platforms is rather short, but that doesn't mean there aren't any gems to look forward to. Here are the top three upcoming releases that you definitely don't want to miss.

Corona Papers:

The thriller, which is directed by Priyadarshan, is definitely one to look out for. Based on the Tamil movie 8 Thottakkal and inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s Stray Dog , the film features an ensemble cast led by the talented Shane Nigam. Against the backdrop of a pandemic, the movie follows the journey of a young cop who loses his service gun while travelling on a public bus. The missing weapon sends the entire police department into a frenzy, unravelling a trail of deceit, betrayals, and ultimately a murder. The intriguing plotline promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats throughout the entire runtime. In addition to Nigam, the star-studded cast features Shine Tom Chacko, Siddique, Jean Lal, Gayathrie, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Vijilesh Karayad.

Corona Papers will start streaming on Disney+Hotsar on May 5.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar:

Despite high expectations from movie buffs, the box office response to Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar , starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor and directed by Luv Ranjan, was underwhelming. However, with nearly Rs 130 crore in ticket sales, the movie is still considered a success in the post-pandemic realities of the Hindi film industry. The movie's unique premise of a couple indulging in cunning ways to make the other person break up with them received positive reviews from critics. Even though the movie didn't set any new records at the box office, it is still a must-watch for its entertaining storyline and talented star cast.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will debut on Netflix on May 3.

Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo:

This series seems like a take on the popular genre of India's soap opera — daughter-in-law vs mother-in-law. Instead of pitting the in-laws against each other in a battle for control over the family, the series takes a different approach. In this show, the in-laws are not on opposing sides but are part of the same team. The trailer promises a flamboyant drama about drugs and guns, with a twist. The ones running the drug deals are not men, but women, and Dimple Kapadia as the weed-smoking, cold-blooded queen of the drug cartel promises a memorable performance.

Directed by Homi Adajania, the series stars Isha Talwar, Angira Dhar, Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal, Naseeruddin Shah, and Monica Dogra.

Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo will start streaming on Disney+Hotstar on May 5.
