Nadikar, one of Tovino Thomas's eagerly awaited 2024 projects, has finally debuted on the big screen today (May 3). The film, which stars a number of young stars like Bhavana, Balu Varghese, Soubin Shahir, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Ganapathi, Arun Kurian, and Chanthu Salimkumar, is directed by Jean Paul Lal.
Young movie buffs who appreciated the film's initial appearance and lively teaser expressed high expectations for it in addition to the actor's fan base. The anticipation for this high-budget entertainment was heightened by the characters' looks as well.

The majority of social media users have expressed disappointment with Nadikar's dull script, even though the film features a good number of stars and appealing performances. Meanwhile, some movie buffs have praised the story's execution, saying that the concept used is good and relevant.
Nevertheless, every online fan review expresses the sheer disappointment that the movie does not live up to the hype. “A dull film with a wafer-thin plot that's dealt silly and amateurish. Even if the scale is grand, everything felt artificial,” one wrote on Twitter.
Some have also mentioned that the movie was unable to emotionally connect with the audience, with the exception of a few funny scenes. Another user tweeted, “I think Nadikar may not get enough appreciation from family audience.”
The movie is mostly criticised for having a mediocre first half, which sets up the audience for a strong second half but ultimately disappoints them. A few of them have also mentioned certain seemingly 'controversial' allusions in the film.
While the Lal Jr. film is getting mediocre reviews from theatres all over the state, it is reasonable to believe that the movie will have trouble extending Malayalam's winning run in May. If Nadikar is unable to attract audiences to theatres in the next few days, some of the other highly anticipated films that are slated for release in May will pick up momentum.
