It’s been a day of Toxic teaser decoding for Yash fans and others interested to see what the Rocking Star and director Geetu Mohandas have put together. After the first impressions, of the film being very violent and that Yash will be seen either in dual shades or in a double role, there have been more in-depth evaluations and here’s what’s come of it.

The most likely scenario here, say netizens, is that it a father-son relationship, in which either Raya is pitted against his son, who is just as ruthless, if not more and has daddy issues, or that father and son team up to destroy the powers trying to take Raya down.
There’s also the confusion about the tattoos on Yash’s body, one version has no back tattoo, another has, while a third has one around the arm too. Does the actor have more than 2 shades/roles?

The Minnal Murali star’s casting has been rumoured for a while and several netizens were convinced that the shot of a villain in joker makeup was Tovino. An actor like Yash needs a formidable and Tovino’s personality, height and built are just apt.
Initially, it was thought that for a film with five heroines, namely Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara and Rukmini Vasanth, there was not one shot of any of them, but then, eagle-eyed netizens spotted a couple of shots that seemed to indicate a female presence. One is an action sequence with a flaming torch and another, well, a sex scene, with several netizens convinced that it is Rukmini in the latter.
Kiara, they feel, is paired with daddy Raya, while Rukmini is the love interest of the son.

Given the level of detailing in the teaser, one school of thought is that Toxic will be split as a two-part film.
The end credits have Yash as co-producer and writer, with his name appearing ahead of director Geetu Mohandas. Netizens are convinced that the tone and scale of the film as it is now are al Yash's handiwork, including the dialogues, which, most thought were cringe at best. There had been rumours of creative differences between Geetu and Yash, and the teaser's glorified masculinity is being cited as proof.
