The release date of the trailer for the upcoming Malayalam movie Exit has finally been disclosed by the makers. March 8 is when the movie will be released on big screens. Exit, directed by Shaheen Mohammed, will feature Vishak Nair in a never-before-seen avatar.
The movie was recently given an A certificate by the censor board. Due to censorship concerns, the film's original February release date was rescheduled.
In an interview with OTTplay, Shaheen gave an explanation of the reason behind the decision to delay the film's theatrical release. He claimed that the producers' attempts to allay censorship concerns stemming from extremely violent scenes were the reason for the delay.
The film revolves around the tale of four young men who become stranded in a bungalow in a village for the night. In the movie, Vishak Nair plays a man who, for unknown reasons, has been chained in an abandoned bungalow for over two decades and has predatory tendencies.
This story captures the audience's attention, and they grow eager to find out the background of this scary thriller. It is interesting to note that this is the first survival film produced in Malayalam, featuring a dialogue-free animal-moving character.

Exit is not an experimental film; rather, Shaheen described it as a commercial with emotional elements. "We were also extremely certain that no character of that kind had ever been made in Malayalam cinema," he said.
The film's director also revealed that some true stories he heard as a young child served as the basis for the story. "To make it appealing to the current audience, all I did was approach it from a modern perspective," he stated.
The film features important roles for Reneesha Rahiman, Vaisakh Vijayan, and Sree Raam, an actor from Tamil. The movie was produced by Venu Gopalakrishnan. The script for Exit was co-written by the director and Anish Janaradhanan.
