Director Sam Anton had announced a few months ago that he is teaming up with Atharvaa for the second time for a project titled Trigger. The duo had earlier joined hands for 100 (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), a crime thriller, which was released in 2019.

The promo video of Trigger offered a glimpse into the film's genre and plot. Billed as a full-fledged action thriller, its story revolves around a son who is ready to sacrifice anything to make his father achieve his dreams. Tanya Ravichandran and Arun Pandian play pivotal characters in the film which has been produced by Prateek Chakravorty and Shruti Nallappa.

The makers have now announced that the film will hit the screens in September, albeit they are yet to decided on its release date. They have come up with a new poster of the movie as well featuring a stylish Atharvaa.

Going by the current scenario, September is already packed with films like Ponniyin Selvan, Laththi, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and Agilan ready for theatrical release. Film lovers are waiting to see how team Trigger is going to accommodate themselves among the much-expected big ticket projects.

Krishnan Vasant and Ruben have handled cinematography and editing respectively for Trigger which has music by Ghibran. Filmmaker PS Mithran has penned dialogues for the movie which has stunt choreography helmed by Dhilip Subbarayan. Azar and Rajesh have composed dance moves and helmed art direction respectively.

Atharvaa, who was last seen in Thalli Pogathey (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), will next be seen in Kuruthi Aatam which will hit the screens this Friday. He currently has Address, Rukmani Vandi Varuthu, Othaikku Oththa and Nirangal Moondru in his kitty.
