Looks like this is a season of mystical thrillers. After the success of Karthikeya 2 in 2022, two other films in the genre entertained audiences this year and became huge hits - Virupaksha and last week’s release Maa Oori Polimera 2. Treading the same path, actor Suman will be playing the lead role in a thriller titled Trisha (that’s captioned Sambhavami Yuge Yuge). The work on the film had begun this week.
RK Gandhi, who helmed Rudrakshapuram earlier, will be directing Trisha. Borrowing a leaf out of Chiranjeevi’s idea to start a film with the music sessions (re-recording with Mega 156 recently), the young filmmaker has commenced work on the project. Ravindra Busam and Eshwar Naganadh are jointly producing the film under Snehalayam Creations and BR Movies.

Kiran Kumar Gudipalli will be presenting the film while Hannumantha Rayappa is the line producer. Trisha will have music and lyrics by ML Raja. The latter has worked on films like Vaade Veedu, Kaliyuga Bhagavan and Radha Madhanam recently. Meanwhile, the first song from Trisha was recorded on Wednesday at Abheri Studio, Hyderabad, the makers share.
Trisha will formally go floors in Hyderabad from November 14 and the team will later head to Karnataka to shoot a few key sequences. The thriller will throw light on a how sacred force comes to the rescue of a village and destroys evil spirits (and their immoral plots). Kalakeya Prabhakar, Suresh Surya, Khushi Goud, Yuveena, Krishnendra, Dheeraj Appaji, Anand Matta are also part of the lineup.
Suman is a specialist in stories revolving around gods, evil forces, thanks to his experience in essaying a wide variety of devotional roles in the past. Pramod Bharatiya cranks the camera for the film and Prasad is the art director. Surya Kiran will be choreographing the dance sequences. The film is expected to release in the first half of 2024.
