True Lover - No Telugu film has explored such a theme before, says Maruthi

Lover is one film that has caught the imagination of one and all ever since its promos came out. The Tamil film has Manikandan, Sri Gouri Priya, and Kanna Ravi in lead roles and has been produced by Nazareth Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvraj Ganesan under the banners of Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment. It will be out on February 9, 2024, in Tamil Nadu. 

Well, the film is being dubbed in Telugu as True Lover and is all set to hit the screens on February 10, 2204. Directed by Prabhuram Vyas, the romantic drama is being brought to us in Telugu by Baby producer SKN and star director Maruthi. The film is getting a grand release in Telugu on multiple screens in Telugu states.

The Telugu producers held a press meeting and Maruthi spoke at length about the film. "I was as thrilled as the first time I saw this film. Prabhuram Vyas's directorial talent is commendable. No Telugu film has explored this theme before. It accurately portrays the anguish of a boy when the girl he loves avoids him while befriending someone else. The performances of Manikandan and Sri Gouri Priya will be a major highlight," said Maruthi.

Speaking about the film, heroine Sri Gouri Priya said, "There's been a superb response from the Tamil premieres. We believe it will be a super hit in Telugu as well. Our entire team is satisfied that we have made a quality film. We hope this movie will be successful in Telugu, holding the same belief."

The main lead, Manikandan said, "People here have accepted me as a Telugu actor. Even when I worked on 'Jai Bheem' and 'Good Night,' I received a warm reception from the Telugu audience. With Maruti and SKN releasing True Lover, it has reached another level". The news in the film circles is that Maruthi and SKN are planning to make a direct Telugu movie with this duo under the Mass Movie Makers banner.
