Tunte: Mishmee Das to replace Devlina Kumar in the serial

Devlina Kumar is to be replaced by Mishmee Das in the serial Tunte. So far, Devlina has been playing Syed Arefin’s girlfriend, though she would not be married to him. The actress once said, “I will be portrayed as a sweet and lovely girl.” People saw her in several episodes. Things have changed since then in the serial. Tunte features Dipanwita Rakshit as the lead character Tunte. Besides, Rupsa Chatterjee, Ananya Guha, Sagnik Chatterjee, Maitreyee Mitra, and others are there in the serial.

Devlina, who is now in the UK with her dance troupe, confirmed the news to the media. In an interview with Aajkal Dot In, she said, “This is true that I have left the serial.” She also said that she could not give time due to her dance schedule. “There were previous arrangements of events abroad. I had a performance in Australia recently and will go to the US next month. These were pre-scheduled seven or eight months back.” She said that the producer Snigdha Basu knew about it. But a serial’s story keeps changing every day and the old script sometimes needs to be rejected for a new turn. The actress claimed that she did not want the serial’s popularity to be affected by her absence. Hence, she decided after discussing it with the producer.

Devlina also said, “Snigdhadi and Acropolis Entertainment are like my relatives. I debuted on television with them. Hence, if the story was changed due to me, I would feel bad. When didi asked for my permission, I gladly gave it. They will bring more mega serial in the future and I will work with them.”

Meanwhile, Mishmee also confirmed the news. Is she comfortable replacing Devlina? She said, “Devlinadi is a wonderful actress. For some particular reason, she cannot go on. Snigdhadi called me for the character. After knowing everything, I did not object.”
