Unlock Raghava release: Milind-Rachel led rom-com in theatres on THIS date

A romantic comedy written by a filmmaker whose claim to fame has been more thought-provoking and hard-hitting cinema like Rama Rama Re, Ondalla Eradalla and Man of the Match - Unlock Raghava credits D Satya Prakash as writer, while Deepak Madhuvanahalli serves as director. Launched in July 2022 with Milind Manjunath of Weekend fame and Love Mocktail 2 and Chef Chidambaram’s Rachel David in the lead, the film, which has been ready for a while, has now set a date with audiences.

Unlock Raghava in time for Valentine's Day

Earlier today, the team announced that Unlock Raghava will be in theatres on February 7, in time for Valentine’s Day. Milind, is the title character Raghava in the film, a youngster with a unique talent of opening any lock. “Raghava’s not just about picking locks, he’s also a master at defusing situations in life that could potentially turn volatile. How he deals with a particular situation in his life that has him literally locked in forms the crux of the tale,” said Milind, adding that the film has a feel-good element to it, with romance, comedy, drama and some action too.

The hope, said Milind, is that audiences realize that this team aims to present a good Kannada film in theatres. “We want to reach audiences, touch their hearts and become household names,” the actor, for whom this is hi first major lead role, added. Unlock Raghava is his first step in introducing himself as a new leading man in Kannada cinema.

Rachel plays Janaki, the romantic interest in the film. Last seen in Chef Chidambara, the actress has a film with Pramod and Pruthvi Ambaar called Bhuvanam Gaganam also lined up for release shortly.

Ramesh Bhat, Avinash, Shobraj, Bhoomi Shetty, Dharmanna kadur, Sadhu Kokila, Sunder and Veena are also a part of the film’s cast. Music is by Anoop Seelin, cinematography by Lavth, while Satya Prakash joins Manjunath D as producer.
