Unni Mukundan’s Marco gets A certificate

As per a report by the Times of India, the action-packed film Marco has secured an A certificate with only fewer cuts suggested by the CBFC.

The Unni Mukundan-starrer, claimed to be one of the most violent films from Malayalam cinema in recent times, can thus be enjoyed on the big screens without much alteration.

Marco plot and character

Directed by Haneef Adeni, the action thriller is spin-off the character Marco, played by Unni Mukundan, in Mikhael which released in 2019. The original film starred Nivin Pauly in the titular role, while Unni Mukundan played the antagonist Marco.

The upcoming film is said to delve into Marco Jr’s character, tracing how he became the ruthless villain in Mikhael.

Siddique, who essayed the role of George Peter in Mikhael, will also be a part of Marco. Another key role is played by Jagadish and the senior actor said that his character has done some very ‘dreadful deeds’ in the film

The other cast members include Sreejith Ravi  Anson Paul, Yukti Thareja, Riyaz Khan, Jinu Joseph, and Kabir Duhan Singh.

The bloody posters and blazing teasers of Marco have heightened the anticipation around the movie, with fans of high-octane action dramas looking forward to seeing Unni Mukundan in the violent avatar on the big screen.

Another notable factor is that the music is composed by Ravi Basrur, who works mainly in the Kannada industry and is known for his work in movies such as KGF.

The team had earlier released the Dabzee version of the film's theme song 'Blood'. But after the song drew flak on social media, another version of the song by Santhosh Venky was shared.
