Uorfi Javed reveals getting abusive messages post winning Karan Johar's The Traitors India: 'Hate has never stopped'

Karan Johar's The Traitors India season 1 on Prime Video was a rollercoaster ride of fun, laughter, betrayal, arguments, and drama. Started with 20 contestants, the winners of the show were Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther. Both of them played as 'innocents' in the show. The grand finale took place on July 3, and post winning the show, Uorfi shared posts revealing getting abusive messages on her DM. 

Uorfi Javed says 'hate has never stopped' after winning The Traitors India

Post winning The Traitors India, hosted by Karan Johar, Uorfi Javed shared on her Instagram account that she’s been receiving threats and abusive messages from those unhappy with her emerging as a winner. She shared screenshots of the abusive messages and wrote a note.

Uorfi wrote, “When we you don’t like something a girl does, just drop the ‘R’ word. Not the first time I’ve been threatened or abused like this but this time it’s not because of my clothes but because I won a show. Imagine being so petty that when your favourite player doesn’t win you resort to abusing and threatening.”

Her note further read these screenshots are the most decent ones she has uploaded and added that no matter what she does, people just love hating and abusing. 

"Harsh ko na Nikalti toh Pyar me andhi, harsh ko nikal Diya toh dhokhebaaz. Purav ko Jeetne deti toh bewakoof, nahi jeetne diya toh cheater. Hate has never stopped me before it never will now," she wrote.

'The journey wasn't easy', says Uorfi Javed

She also shared an edited video that started with Karan Johar announcing her eviction from Bigg Boss OTT to Uorfi shouting at The Traitors as she had won the show. Sharing the video, Uorfi said that the journey was not easy. She wrote, "May be the universe knew I needed this. When I lost Big boss I thought he lost my last chance at success or at having a good life , had taken udhaar from friends to get clothes to wear on big boss. At that time I didn’t even know if I would be ever be able to repay that udhaar."

She mentioned that people have always doubted her, even right now. She wrote that she has taken out 3 traitors, which can’t be luck. "Till the last moment I didn’t give up . Strategised," she penned.

Uorfi Javed on winning The Traitors India

Reacting to her victory, Uorfi said that The Traitors was the wildest rollercoaster she has ever been on—emotionally, psychologically, and physically draining in every way possible. It made her question everything and everyone, and yet somehow still helped her find her strength. 

"I wasn’t pretending, I wasn’t playing safe, and I definitely wasn’t backing down. Winning The Traitors isn’t just about surviving—it’s about standing in a room full of betrayal and still being unafraid to speak my truth. Together, Nikita and I unmasked and beat the traitors at their own game," she said.
